The dream of a community-focused taxi service in Woking was no longer just an idea; it was a reality in its infancy. • Woking Borough Council Approval: A Key Milestone

  In January 2019, Obencars achieved a significant milestone by securing approval as a licensed private hire operator for Woking Borough Council. This accreditation underscores our commitment to adhering to the highest standards of regulatory compliance and reinforces our dedication to providing safe and reliable transportation services to the Woking community.

• Surrey Approval: Earned Through Excellence

  Following a period of rigorous assessment and meticulous fulfillment of Surrey County Council's stringent requirements, Obencars was officially granted approval as a transport service provider in June 2023. • Strategic Expansion: Obencars Secures Guildford Licensing

  In a strategic move to enhance service accessibility and operational efficiency, Obencars successfully secured a private hire operator license from Guildford Borough Council in January 2024. This significant milestone represents a key expansion of our service footprint, complementing our existing authorization within Woking Borough Council. Given the geographical proximity of Guildford and Woking, and the prevalence of drivers residing in Woking but operating across both boroughs, this expansion provides a synergistic benefit.
